【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiescompositionalandphysicalpropertyrequirementsforsixacrylonitrile-butadienerubbercompoundsresistanttomineraloilandofhardnessrange40IRHDto90IRHD.Thesecompoundsareintendedforthemanufactureofitemsintheformofextrusions,mouldingsandsheet,andforitemscutorpunchedfromsheet,inwhichresistancetomineraloilswithoutexcessiveshrinkageisanecessaryproperty,andwheresomestiffeningofthehardergradesattemperaturesbelow—20℃canbetolerated.NOTEOzone,whichisnaturallypresentintheatmosphere,cancauseunprotectednitrilerubbertocrackwhenitisstrained,andthiscanoftenleadtofailureofthepart.Thenitrilerubbercompoundsspecifiedinthisstandardarenotrequiredtobecompoundedtoberesistanttoozoneattackandtheirresistancetoozoneisnottested.Potentialusersshouldseektechnicaladviceiftheyareunsureastowhetherozoneresistanceisrequiredfortheirapplication.ThereiscurrentlynoBritishStandardforozoneresistantnitrilerubbercompounds.
